Extracting Deterministic Parameters from MPEG Video Sources with Quality Adjustment

The most stringent applications in the future will require network services with bounded-delay characteristics. In order to eeciently use the network resources, an accurate deterministic traac model must be developed. This paper analyses the XGOP-B model proposes an algorithm to extract parameters from MPEG video sources that does not allow unfortunate choices, since it automatically results in an unique set of parameters. The obtained results show that high accuracy with a reasonable number of parameters can be easily achieved.
